RPO & RTO
=========

`RPO`_: Recovery Point Objective - it is the maximum targeted period in which data (transactions)
might be lost from an IT service due to a major incident.

`RTO`_: Recovery Time Objective - roughly, how long we think it takes us to restore services
following a disaster.

Both RTO and RPO are specific to the disaster in question and are defined in each of the
recovery documents.
